KNOT PLAYING FAIR: BOOK TWO—THE FINAL INSTALLMENT OF A REVERSE HAREM OMEGAVERSE DUET (30-DAY AUDIOBOOK RENTAL, LGBT, POLYAMORY). DIGITALLY NARRATED BY ELEVENLABS.
Six broken people walk into a Michelin-star restaurant…
Unfortunately, that's not the opening line of a joke. It's my life.
With my marriage in tatters, I've fallen into the arms of a misfit pack of damaged men trying to do the right thing. They took me in, gave me a safe place to land, and helped me through my heat when my shipment of black market blocker pills fell through.
But even though Zalen, Emiel, Byron, and Luca want nothing more to do with the street gangs that defined their early lives, it seems that gang life isn't finished with them yet. When the ghosts of their pasts start to haunt my present, I have to choose whether to run, or stand and fight for the life I'm trying to build.
I'm surrounded by people keeping dangerous secrets. But before we can have any kind of a future together, we'll have to put the past to rest.
Too bad the past has other ideas.

The finish to this duet was worth the wait. This was like an oasis amid the desert of books I’ve been reading recently. I was sobbing throughout, and absolutely loved the way Mia’s and Luca’s story comes to an end. Each character was so fleshed out, the spice was ‘chef’s kiss’ and I’m leaving very, very satisfied. 10/10 definitely a buy.
This is a cute little story. It would've been better if it had been more action-packed, but it was still decent.
The second and final book in the Knot Playing Fair duet by Ember Blaze! This duet lives up to Ms. Blaze's name because it is absolutely on fire 🔥 It begins right where book one left off, so it should be no surprise that it is action packed and full of intrigue. But, it is also full of self discovery and healing! I so enjoyed watching Nat stepping up, and earning his place within this pack! Oh, and to watch them bond, and truly become a pack was beautiful beyond words, and the epilogue was the perfect HEA for this awesome new pack! If you like omegaverse, you will love this story ❤
This story begins where book 1 ends, with Nat questioning his choices. There is excitement, and some adventure. We see the family learn to be a pack in a different way. I liked this series, it kept my attention.
This book was amazing. I don’t know what I was expecting going in but it gave me everything and more. I usually don’t like multi part books but this was so worth it. I was locked in from the beginning. The good, bad, happy, sad ,exciting and everything in between. If there was ever a book I’d want to be stuck in this is it.
I liked this, but not as much as the first book. The first part of the story had all the plot, and the rest of the book was mostly all the different relationships, plus a ton of spice. Other than the plot stuff towards the beginning of the book, everyone’s life outside of the pack basically stopped being included in the story, which I found disappointing.Things I didn’t like were: the amount that the word “passage” was used, how all the pov characters’ voices sounded basically the same, and a few pronoun case errors.I did like how the author got me so invested in all of the characters as individuals, and not just characters-as-they-related-to-Mia.
So like a lot of stuff happened here. I liked some didn't others.Love Luca and Emiel the most, sooo freaking lovable and they thought they were the least! I did like all the guys but those two were definitely the favorites. I love broken people because I want to love them all up lol its a me thing.Still upset scent matching isn't a thing in this world.Seriously, seriously, HATE that the books are political. I live in the real world, I'm not reading about omegas and alphas because I want stupid political **** from the real world thrown in. Stop it! You are writing romantic fantasy, NOT REAL WORLD GARBAGE! Sorry had to say that cause it was heavily in the book. And barf! Its stupid that betas can't be bonded, like it's cruel to them in a world where everyone but them can be. There's quite a few things written in the books that are cruel to each individual designation. Its stupid. I intensely dislike unfairness. Its very creepy that the male omegas apparently can give birth. Like ugh gross. Let women have one thing, PLEASE!? Its almost the only thing we have alone. At least warn people about it so they have a heads up.There's alot if complex biology stuff going on. Its not needed and in my opinion heavily pulled from the book. Like heavily! Just make it simpler and it would drastically help. Like making heat suppressants illegal is freaking stupid as ****. And that adds to the political **** I was complaining about. And not having in the book would have solved alot of things as well as not making it overly complicated.Didn't get enough after story. I want mias pregnancy and birth! How could you cut it out for us?!I mean I'm not mad I read this, the characters were good and I definitely love a few. The plot was engaging as well. And the spice, when it was there was very nice. I'd give it at least 4.5 out of 5. The book overall has a much lower rating because of the issues I had mentioned. Basically I put what I didn't like because that's what would want to be warned against for myself. I did like them and would read more but they could most definitely have been better.Still love those guys though, my heart totally went to them and I just wanna give them love. They are a credit to the author and for them I say bravo! Overall Interesting but complex world.
I enjoyed both books so much! Ember Blaze weaves a great tale and knows how to write a wonderful story. I know this is definitely going to be a reread for me.
This duet of books was different than others Omegaverse books I've read. The author did a great job with character and relationship development, while still keeping the storyline quite spicy. There was a good blend of story development and character development. The background characters were all loveable as well. The author did a wonderful job explaining past trauma and the struggle the characters still had dealing with it. They didnt gloss over hard subjects or immediately forget about their trauma for an instant happy ending.
This was really sweet, well written, and by the end it had my heart so happy with the unexpected twist that I won't elaborate on so I won't ruin it but man this left me with ALLLLLLL the happy feels!!! Everything came together in such a happy way it's probably my favorite Omegaverse storylines I've ever read. So well written too. LOVED IT!!!
Was an OK read. The big main part kind of happened early on the ending and the rest just kind of was just a pack, figuring out how to be a pack. So not too bad, but it did feel like it was dragging out for me.
There are so many layers to this duet, it starts off with an unhappy marriage and ends with a happy pack of six. Along the way we bump into so many topics, I know I will forget some. The most important ones are child abuse, sexual abuse, misogyny, homophobia, race, healthcare, wealth and status, along with violence and gangs all popping up in this book. But it's written well that you keep reading, I wanted to know where the story was going so I had a hard time putting it down. The cast of characters was good, there was a lot of representation, that made it interesting. I will keep read this author.
