Wow! Totally different storyline for R.A. Steffan. This one is set in the space of inter-planetary war. From manning spacecraft to diplomatic relations to vigilante justice to Love and War. I loved it!

Very nice set of related stories - read in order. Incredible world build with functional, believable tech. Three or four species introduced and relatably developed - and connected 😊. Long war story with pain and loss on a planet torn by racial unrest and injustice fomented by a fascist narcissist. (Sound familiar?). Well done all around.

R. A. Steffan is one of my favourite authors.I read the whole series in one go. I couldn't stop. I just loved all the characters and I needed to know how it all ends.There is no polyamory as in other stories by the author but many different biological and psychological pairings. I found this very interesting and it gave me hope but it might require an open mind .

Star wars eat your heart out this beats them all. Exciting, tense, very fast paced and full of action and adventure

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much.. boy was I wrong! This series consumed 3 days and I still want more. Love , honor and action all rolled into a beautifully written package. Worth the loss if sleep!

This was a really enjoyable and well-written series. This series is definitely at the higher end of KU options. Each book ends happily for now while contributing to a greater story arc with a satisfying conclusion. The characters are consistent, editing is good, world-building is adequate for a romance genre series.The merry band of misfits made up of Vithii aliens with a stray human and cyborg added into the mix. Each book focuses on one person (in one book it focuses on two) in the group of renegades. Their relationships develops as they fight against a genocidal regime. These books have plots. The plots are the reason for the book, not connectors between **** scenes. I appreciate that.Steffan is a generous author with free peaks available on her website. She also has links to a secret prologue at the end of the books. I look forward to seeing how she develops. I'm hoping for more books with a sci-fi / urban bent with even more character development and detail in the worlds.Hey, if you found this helpful, click that button below. I teally enjoyed this series. Never a dull moment. Characters came alive. Love how it ended i enjoy this writers books.

This series set in the future about the cultural war between humans and non-humans was very intriguing. I loved the romantic connections in each book based on one couple each. Bravo, well done!

I have plowed through many books on my kindle in recent weeks, but this series truly caught and kept my attention!You see, I have some history of reading classic sci-fi. Lately I have been hooked on paranormal romance for a change of pace. Don’t tell my mother. This author, with very few typos and grammatical errors I might add, has created a captivating universe with cool tech, and characters that I cared about. She has obviously done her homework. And if you have read any classic sci-fi you understand that her characters go where bygone characters were unable to go, although you really wished they would. “Left Hand of Darkness” comes to mind. Keep writing - maybe revisit this universe!

This series was well written. It’s characters beautifully came to life with unexpected twists and turns. You feel like your with them in this battle over evil. These books won’t disappoint!! They only leave you wishing there was more. Happy reading my friends!

This five-volume edition of the Love and War series is chock full of scifi action and romance. The mission is to overthrow an alien regime, and the people to make it happen are a group of humans and aliens who will do anything it takes, risking life, limb, and so much more.Each story could stand alone, but since they are built upon each other, it is best to read or listen to them all. It will give you your best experience, and the pacing is so fast, it’s a breeze to experience it all.Because these books come from RA Steffan, they have things that are hallmarks of her style. The action can be swashbuckling, even in space. The main characters are damaged but find understanding in their love interests. The **** scenes are always well-written and truly forward the plot. Each of the couples in the five books features people from different species. Their love-making style is also appropriately different while still fitting the rules of the world.There might be some readers who hesitate to try this book because it does have a romance aspect, but you’ll get fun scifi romps through topics like virology, bioethics, nanotechnology, espionage, and diplomacy. The characters never lose sight of the big plot: saving each other and saving a planet from a horrible dictatorship.The audiobook is narrated by Gwendolyn Druyor, who is the go-to voice of RA Steffan. Druyor is an excellent narrator. I found her voices for Cade and Drax too close to each other (a very tight in the jaw sound with those characters). Otherwise, everyone sounded unique, and she is so good that it’s like listening to a radio play.Yes, I recommend this. You’ll get to learn a large cast of people who care for each other and the world. If you have also read Steffan and Woolf’s Circle of Blood series, it has a similar feel despite different genres. (Circle of Blood can be considered paranormal or fantasy.) If you liked the writing in one of those series, definitely listen to the other.

Den ersten Band der Reihe gibt es momentan kostenlos. Leider hatte ich mich da so richtig reingeschmökert und musste dann unbedingt wissen, wie es weitergeht. Spannend kann ich nur sagen! Mir gefällt die von Steffan entwickelte, fantastische SciFi-Welt, in der - wie so oft! - ein Rebellentrupp mit den unterschiedlichsten Leuten den fast aussichtslosen Kampf gegen ein Volk von Unterdrückern aufnimmt. Die Liebe kommt auch nicht zu kurz. Was will man mehr?Wer unsicher ist, zieht sich wohl besser Leseproben. Z. Zt. ist dieser Komplettband preisgünstiger als der Kauf aller Einzelbände.Fazit: Gut geschriebener Lesestoff für lange Winterabende.
