The Dragon Mistress: Books 1-4 Bundle (AUDIOBOOK, LGBT)

Yet another brilliant collection of books to read from R.A.Steffan. I am never disappointed by the new collection of stories and they are never all the same. There is always something completely different from the last collection but you can always understand where the characters grow and you are taken for a ride along with them as the books progress so much that you can’t put them down as you are captivated by their lives and what they go through.

I enjoyed these stories very much! And will definitely read them again. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Another collection of books from the Eburosi chronicles and they’re so good. Loved all the characters , Nyx was a great character. Can’t wait to read more from this universe. Highly recommended

I was looking for books with 'Dragon' in the title - The Complete Dragon Mistress Collection gave me that and much more than I was asking for. I then read the other two Collections in the Eburosi Chronicles and was glad I'd read the Dragon set first as I would probably have found the descriptions of Male on Male **** a bit confronting had I not delighted in the Dragon Mistress books first. Great story, imaginative world/society building and then there was the ****. Quite a mind-boggling eye-opener. It was a wonderful, exciting, always respectful, totally caring offering of all the possible sexual pairings/tripling...quadruplings folk so inclined could indulge in including Polyamory and same **** - with the emphasis on Respect. It'd never occurred to me to imagine/think about what folk with diverse sexual preferences enjoyed among themselves and reading about it was, much to my surprise, as well as an education definitely a turn-on. Having resigned myself to the thought that I was a rather 'dried-up, post-menopausal ole biddy' - these books totally fired up my dormant sexuality and stoked those 'fire-in-the-belly' coals to volcanic proportions. And I am all the better for it. Highly recommend.

A fun, fast-paced adventure featuring a bold heroine, a disposed King, a couple handsome mercenaries, a stable hand and the 5 dragons they fight to protect from extinction. Love and lust abound amidst their struggle to survive as a tyrant ruler attempts to destroy them and the last 5 dragons in existence.Definitely recommend!

The lead female character, Frella, has no real redeeming qualities and is dumb and shallow. She jumps from one stupid, impulsive decision to another and the situations she ends up in would result in severe injury or death if they were realistic, but the writer portrays them as trivial. ***SPOILERS*** She should have ended up raped and killed by bandits, but they saw dust from horses in the distance so they left her unwounded. She challenged a large muscular man to a fight and unsurprisingly lost with little effort. She supposedly got duped into getting trapped into a harem of the prince when she tried to complain about the bandits. All by page 63 of the first book. She is supposed to be a heroine?? But her IQ is in double digits. I couldn't keep reading.

As a whole, the series shines. Great fun. Great characters. Great ****. And dragons. The large cast of characters occasionally overwhelms, but the story is never dull and ends satisfyingly.

So, I read the other 2 Series (Horse Mistress and Lion Mistress) before finally arriving to this one. And let me tell you, RA Steffan really knows how to build a world and characters and action that Just. Keep. Getting. Better. I read all 4 books in 2 days. The little sleep I did get, I was dreaming of dragons and the dragonriders! I haven't been sucked this far into a series since Auryn Hadley's Rise of the Iliri. And a lot of the feel of the whole Eburosi world reminded me of Tamora Peirce's Tortall series. I don't know how I'm going to get over the massive book hangover I'm in now! I'm not ready to leave Eburos just yet! Seriously though. Pick up this series. You will not regret it.

I enjoyed the storyline, and learning more about each character. Saying that, it was beyond reason that one female would have **** with 4 males (at the same time!), and also have **** with another woman (I guess just for the heck of it). Comparing this to a harem is not accurate. In a harem, the male would sleep with one female at a time. This was the only part (though it happened a lot) that bothered me.

Eventho I enjoyed most of this book there were parts that I tended to skip through. I really didn't enjoy the sexual parts of the story. I devoured most of the books. Sitting up for hours readingtk keep getting through the story. Maybe I would've liked the sexual scenes when I was younger but they don't interest me anymore during my older age. I loved the story that was portrayed and couldn't wait to keep reading chapter after chapter ingesting the story. A thumbs up.

I am a self-declared bibliophile and always was a little snooty when it came to romance novels. None seemed to have the depth and range in story and character development as other genres or lacked luster in the world-setting, the characters seemed to act on whims without the depth of real people's internal conflicts etc. The Eburosi Chronicles broke all the stereotypes I had burned in my brain. Fantastic fantasy world, in depth politics, exquisite personal interactions and true to life feeling. You know what these characters are going through and their motivations and development are very real. The way all the books series in the chronicles fit together are brilliant as well. I have found my new favorite author (and I've only had like three favorite authors my whole life). Excellent series!! I look forward to reading her other books!

I found the Lion Mistress series first and realised that it was part of a series a few weeks ago. When I found out about it I purchased both the Horse Mistress bundle and the Lion Mistress bundle and really enjoyed them. As soon as this bundle was released I purchased it, I was happy to read about Frella finding love and the dragons. The stories as a whole were a great read, but Frella's story was my least favorite of the 3 bundles. Not for anything wrong with the story, it just did not have the appeal that the previous story's did, and it seemed kinda rushed at points.

(This review is for the entirety of the Dragon Mistress series, as they are now all available)I have enjoyed all of the Eburosi Chronicles, but The Dragon Mistress is my favorite arc.We've met Frella in the previous stories, seen her grow up. In The Dragon Mistress she shows that she has become the sassy adult she showed promise of in her youth. She is off on her own adventure, and, much like her sibling and her guardians, that adventure leads her to several lovers and discovering they all have something supernatural in common. The lovers have to overcome their personal issues to be with Frella, and each other (yes, that's a hint, there's M/M).As usual R.A. Steffan interweaves this story with a lot of detail that makes for rich world building. I do suggest reading The Horse Mistress and the Lion Mistress first, as those stories will help you understand the world around this story.

I enjoy Steffan's books. She knows how to make her characters come alive and gives the reader a complete world for them to fight and love in. Frella is a feisty heroine and jumps from one problem to another. The action keeps coming and the characters evolve as the story goes along. I hope there are more stories about her adventures in the future. The books do contain sexual content and explicit scenes, so beware.

I like a good paranormal romance series very so often and I had read this author’s Last Vampire series and really liked it, so I decided to give the Horse Mistress Series a try. It had won a Rainbow Award (which I had to look up). I liked that series a lot. I went on to the Lion Mistress Series next. It had a similar romantictriad and some similar situations and entanglements for the characters. I got bogged down in the second book. The story seemed to drag with too many subplots. I decided to move on to the Dragon Mistress because... Dragons...duh.All three of these series are set in a Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings type of world. The characters are well drawn and the writing is very good. The books are also well edited which if you have read any books that haven’t been you will appreciate. My issue with these series is they were too long. I know, some people will say, ‘not long enough, give me more’ but sometimes less is more.I also have to warn you that there are explicit sexual scenes between M/M and M/F/M and in the dragon series M/M/F/M/M ( reverse harem ). If you are into more cozy material, these are not for you. These books also contain some vulgar language. Also, these contain suspenseful scenes and depictions of prostitution, slavery, kidnapping and torture. I feel the Horse Mistress has the least amount of suspenseful, tense situations. Happy reading to those of you who choose to give these books a try.

While it would be helpful to have read the first two series, this is a great stand-alone. I was completely caught up in Frella’s world and that of her companions.

Loved it, think I even read this one faster then the other two series and if there is another one coming, yes yes yes, I ll buy it asapEverything is in it and I highly recommend itJust sad now that I finished it and have to wait till 2021

These stories are truly magnificent. I’ve become so attached to the characters and their stories and aaaaahhhhhhh!!!! I can’t wait to read the next additions.
