The LAST VAMPIRE: BOOK FIVE—PART OF A COMPLETED PARANORMAL ROMANCE SERIES (30-DAY AUDIOBOOK RENTAL). NARRATED BY GWENDOLYN DRUYOR.
Broke ex-waitresses aren’t supposed to have archenemies.
Seriously, that kind of crap is way above our pay grade.
We certainly aren’t supposed to have multiple supernatural beings competing for the title of “scariest nemesis.” Yet that’s where I find myself, now that the last vampire on Earth is no longer the last vampire on Earth.
Ransley Thorpe turned his closest friend in a last-ditch effort to save his life. Now all three of us have targets painted on our backs, and the powerful demon who might be able to protect us is the last person in the three realms we should trust.
To survive, we’ll have to rekindle old alliances and rely on friends who have only the barest conception of the danger they’re about to face. One thing is crystal clear—even if we succeed in holding our enemies at bay, my life is about to change in ways I could never have foreseen.
As the only demon/fae/human hybrid in existence, I thought I had problems before. Silly me. It turns out, I didn’t know when I was well off.

Or is he the Last Vampire. Very well written with some humor involved. Very good book series!
I had enjoy the book anonymously The series is very charming I would recommend it to any person that enjoys exciting action
I really loved these books. I wish she would write more with these characters. I fell in love with them.
L ok ve it full of adventure...the characters are always fun and you can ride along with the plot line
I absolutely love these characters and the way this story is playing out. Fast paced and intense with surprising turns. Excellent series.
Zorah certainly lives an interesting life with Ran as her lover. Their fight to remain alive gets harder by the hour.
Book 5, like the four before was a crazy wild ride for our hero and heroine. The only downfall, based on my opinion that for such a badass, Zorah has serious sell esteem issues
Wow! Fantastic! Each book in this series is better than the last! I am sad that the next one will be the end.
Oh my goodness! Hook, line, and sinker... I am shook. Another amazing book, so darn happy I found this series! Come on and hurry up December and get here...I am ready for the next one!
Addicting series. Couldn't put it down. cant wait for next book to find out what happens and what fights there will be.
Fresh twist to Fey, Vampire & Demon lore. Well written. Good character drive of character that hold your attention. Good plot pace. Excellent action writing and romance.
With the 5th installment of this series my awe for the storyteller increases tenfold. Perhaps more.Still on the run from enemies, Zorah and Rans try to find a plan and soon. Time seems to be running out. This story has laughs, angst and Love in all the unusual places.Start with the 1st book of the series and you will need the rest!Thank you RA, Thank you!
I have absolutely loved every minute of this series! I'm sooooo happy zorah is a vampire without having to ask even if it was a worrying moment. Yay life bond! I'm curious what will happen from here as far as the impending war and the demons and fae after them all.
I don’t mind stories that have the same people from other books… this tortuously slooow movement of the 3 characters one of who we don’t know really! Taking each minute step towards an unsure goal just to make it to the next book! Get what I mean?
What do you get when you combine action, romance and humor and put them all together? You get "The Last Vampire", a tale with twists and unexpected turns that is a great page turner. I read this book in one afternoon, because I couldn't put u it down. Can't wait until book number six!
Wow, I really ended up loving this series. It was a fluke that I stumbled on them. I'm sure glad I did. It's a different twist on paranormal. It's funny, ****,adventurous, and intriguing all in one
I loved this newest installment in the Last Vampire saga! I love the character Guthrie! He's depressing most of the time but I loved seeing this new patriarchal role. Despite sometimes acting like Zorah and Rans' behavior drives him nuts he is very gentle with Zorah. This whole book was just a constant unrelenting run from well, everyone! I feel bad for Len. The poor guy didn't have an easy life before Zorah exposed him and his boyfriend to the supernatural world. Then they mind swiped Len's boyfriend, which was for the best, but Len decided he wanted to keep his memories. As expected things got complicated, the boyfriend thinks he's been cheating, which he hasn't. Things are definitely steamy, while also giving a "run-for-your- lives" feeling. Once again fantastic book. Eagerly waiting for December 10th with a new installment in the world of The Last Vampire!!
Well, I loved this one. It has lots of adventure, drama and romance. It was wonderful that they have all bonded as one for the three of them are a real family now in more ways than one. They are truly blood bonded. Cool. It is a good story that has you wanting more and more and cannot wait for the last one. Like others have said, I wish the books had been longer, perhaps just three books more extended than six short ones. I understand it is about revenue and this is a business but just saying, if you asked more for the longer books perhaps it would all work out the same. That being said, as a loyal fan of Ms. Steffan, I would pay whatever she asked as I love her stories. Already ordered number 6, waiting patiently.
Let’s just say this book didn’t go where I expected it to go, and that’s definitely for my good as a reader. We ended book 4 with a big reveal that Guthrie is basically Zorah’s grandfather, and Rans had to turn him into a vampire. In this book, we have the fallout from that. The brewings of a showdown between demons and fae. The very sad reintroduction of Len and Tris, as well as a Caribbean almost escape that features Rans dressed in a corset vest. Plus, there is **** used as communication and healing, which is usually present in a Steffan/Woolf book.Without giving away a huge spoiler, there is yet something else I didn’t see coming to end this book and set up the final Rans/Zorah book. (Series fans need not worry. There will be a spin-off series!) It’s a call back to something that happened when Rans and Zorah were in front of the fae court, and I didn’t see it playing out this way. Well done, authors!I do caution new readers to start with the beginning. This isn’t a series that’s made to start anywhere you want to. There are some series like that (look at you, Stephanie Plum), but this isn’t one of them. If you take the time, though, you’ll usually have a rewarding reading experience.Gwendolyn Druyor is as much the voice of Steffan (or Steffan/Woolf) as James Marsters became the voice of Harry Dresden. Listeners would revolt if there were ever a narrator change. But her skill is in things that other narrators don’t try. In one scene, Zorah is clearly eating and talking at the same time. She completely sounds like it. That’s pure skill right there.Good stuff. Book six to wrap this up promises to be a cracker!
This book went by quickly. It seems like a lot happened in very little time. For me I thought the book was just ramping up and was getting ready to settle in when it ended. Honestly you could summarize this book in about two paragraphs or less.Love the story line, characters, and detail. I just wish they weren't so short. Ordered next book
