Liminal is an intriguing slow burn MM with complex characters, fantastic world building and a very spicy climax (pun intended 😉) It’s the first book of a fantastic series that I’ve been lucky to read over on the author’s Patreon. You’ll fall in love with the clever owl familiar whose master starts off cold and aloof but quickly grows on you, which I’m sure has everything to do with his ethereal beauty and nothing to do with him being the deadly frightening God of nightmares! Also Hugh, who is perpetually practical while being brash and brave enough to kick Death himself in the balls, will forever have a special place in my heart. I don’t want this series to ever end because I never want to say goodbye to all the characters I’ve grown to love so very much!
I'm so sad to see this trilogy end. Amazing character development and perfect spice level. The most original and creative god book series I've ever read. Well done!
Hugh is such a wonderful character and develops so much. Morpheus also learns to grow and change. The whole world building was marvelous. There is danger, excitement, and spicy bits. I loved the series and hated to see it end. I read this on Patreon and wanted to leave a review here.
I absolutely loved this series! I've read several of R.A. Steffan's books, but this is by far my favorite. I can't wait to read more of their stories.
It speaks to how much I enjoyed this book that I was gnashing my teeth about the wait for the next one. Which, in fairness, is a remarkably short time as series go. While the overarching story isn’t wrapped up, it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, which is nice. I found it a compelling and engaging story. Can’t wait for the next one!
