THE SIXTH DEMON: BOOK ONE—PART OF A COMPLETED PARANORMAL ROMANCE SERIES (AUDIOBOOK). NARRATED BY GWENDOLYN DRUYOR.

An angel locked out of Heaven. A demon on the hunt for an escaped soul.
Watch out, because all Hell is about to break loose.

When the Archangels slammed the pearly gates shut on the great war between the Demons and the Fae, the angel Shemasiel missed the memo. Trapped alone on Earth, she’s spent the past few millennia sticking her nose in where it’s not wanted, and generally being a nuisance to the people in charge.

Posing as human investigative reporter Neveah Lane, she’s first on the scene of a mysterious death with hallmarks of the supernatural. But when one of Hell’s most notorious demons is also sent to investigate, it quickly becomes apparent that more is at stake than the death of a single woman.

Now, with the truce between two powerful, warring races hanging in the balance, a stranded angel and Hell’s most devious spymaster must choose whether to oppose each other on principle, or work together for peace. As the two orbit each other in pursuit of their competing goals, Neveah finds herself experiencing the appeal of the forbidden for the first time in her ageless existence.

Angels are supposed to be immune from temptation. Too bad Neveah was never a very good angel.

This is the first book with the demons story and I guess journey to love.I had a problem with the fae mads left her body to go in a human body to break her demon bond.but but but when you make a deal with a demon you give a little of your soul, so if she leaves her fae body and blood (which makes you want to ask more questions is her power in her soul or her body?) Doesn't that mean the soul bond goes with the soul? So she hasn't broken the bond (that's why demon heart in salt) but they was talking like she has.I'm glad we got a Angel in this one.

I have followed this author since the Last Vampire, and this latest offering is not a disappointment. It's nice to see Nigellus develop into an interesting character, and to discover more about the wonderful bound servant Edward. I am really looking forward to part two!

A great read in the first book of this series. I did like the fact that other characters are now interacting within the book & now getting other points of few which does keep it more interesting. Worth a read & Cathy wait to read the next book.😁

A continuation of the Last Vampire series and I have to say again a brilliant read with well known characters from before and people that have been mentioned but now have expanded into their own story. I have not been able to put it down as I’m drawn into the fantastic world of R.A. Steffan continuing imagination and amazing characters, love this author.

just keep getting better!

R. A. Has once again outdone herself! Nigellus’ world is thrown wide open and an entirely new cast of characters burst onto the scene with even more intrigue and context than ever before.

I Loved It, It Great Getting to Know Nigellus Better

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.If you have read or listened to The Last Vampire Series you will already be familiar with most of the characters in this book. If however, you have not then you will still be able to enjoy this new series as the author does tell us everything we need to know.Nigellus is an immortal demon, his charter has always intrigued me because although he has a soul bond with Edward, his elderly human servant and two vampires, Ransley and Zorah he does not abuse it, they are allowed to have free will, well mostly and he treats them well, helping them when he can. Don't get me wrong, they are not his friends but deep down there is mutual hard-earned respect and begrudging trust between them all, although that trust has been sorely tested recently. But this book is the start of Nigellus' story, it's dark in places, especially the beginning so be aware. I'm trying to write a non-spoiler review and not give too much away, what I will say is that in this book I think Nigellus has finally met his match in Shemasiel aka Neveah Lane, an Angel who found herself trapped alone on Earth when the gates between Heaven and the other Realms were closed during the long-ago war between the Demons and the Fae.Neveah passes her time on earth working as an investigative reporter and whilst in this guise, she's first on the scene of a mysterious death which looks to be supernatural, a death which Nigellus, ****'s Spymaster is also investigating. it quickly becomes apparent that more is at stake than the death of a single woman. But the book has humour too Edward is a delight as always, Neveah is an interesting and unpredictable character who is definitely a match for Nigellus. To find the answers Nigellus will need the help of Rans, Zorah and Edward but whilst he's working one angle Neveah is working another - they'd be much better together but can an Angel and a Demon forge an alliance? This one does end on a cliffhanger, with the story continuing in the next book and although I hate cliffhangers I always make an exception for this author, I've been here from book one of The Last Vampire World when Rans first met Zorah and loved every minute of all fourteen books. Please write faster Ms Steffan! The narration of this book, the whole series in fact, by Gwendolyn Druyor is excellent and as you will find if you decide to listen that she has made these fascinating characters, so well drawn by the author, her own bringing them to life and making them seem so real.

Well, Nigellis has encountered a peer. Great story, again a horrible cliffhanger. The tie ins with my favorite series will ensure I will love this spin off.

Worst Narrator ever

The millennia old angle sounds like a 12 middle school girl. I had to stop listening to the books. I ended up listening to the AI narration on my kindle because at least it wasn't shrieky and whinny as the narrator. I don't know what made the narrator decide to make the female lead sound like a little girl and a whiny little girl at that. The story is amazing, but the narrator was bad.

enjoyable read

Overall was a good read. I thought it was a nice change of pace and differed from most books with similar themes. Am looking forward to the next book and what happens next.

I have read the previous series set in this world and loved them! I love the authors take on vampires, demons, fae and angels. I will impatiently await the next installment.
