VONNIE MORGAN, YOU idiot… what have you gotten yourself into? I silently berated my own foolishness as I stood flanked by guards, pinned by the hard gazes of the half-dozen Fae who’d convened here like a jury upon my capture.
My supposed ally—Albigard of the Unseelie—was gone, leaving me alone with my worst enemies. He and I had tried to sneak into the Fae camp on Easter Island where my son Jace was being held, only for our cover to be blown before an hour had passed.
After all the time I’d spent searching for him, I was still dealing with the shock of finally seeing Jace, only for him to immediately betray me to the guards. He didn’t know it was you, I told myself over and over, like a mantra. Albigard had used magic to glamour our appearance before we’d arrived. To Jace’s eyes, I’d been a stranger—just another teenage girl with magic, kidnapped to aid in the Unseelie plot to take over the world.
It didn’t help. My beautiful, brave son, whom I’d always tried to teach right from wrong, had been brainwashed to blindly follow his kidnappers’ orders. I tilted my chin up and pulled my shoulders back, hoping it would help hide how hard I was trembling as I met the Fae Overseer’s gaze.
“Right, you Fae bastard,” I said, channeling every ounce of maternal rage I’d been carrying around for the past several weeks into my voice. “What the hell have you done to my son?”
My words might as well have been the squeak of a lab rat protesting the experiment in which it was bound. The Unseelie onlookers didn’t so much as acknowledge that I’d opened my mouth.
The Overseer turned to Master Balfour—the stooped and white-haired Fae who’d broken my glamour with a touch, revealing my true form. He waved a careless hand in my direction. “Take this creature someplace where the screams won’t be distracting and interrogate it. Find out what it knows of the Fae impersonating Oren, and how it knew to come here. When you’re done, have the guards execute it.”

There is nothing l don’t like love these book can’t wait for the next
All these vampire books are fab. Funny in places and gripping in others. Very enjoyable
The 4th book in this was an ok read But if I'm honest this book was a bit anti-climatic after reading all of the others the ending was quickly over with considering it took the 3 books to build it up to get there. The story line was good if a little long & still think the front cover is very misleading. Worth a read 👍
Loved this book,characters and the whole story...Very In depth you get to know all the characters good and evil...( very evil)...and it’s 1 of those series youhave o follow to the end...
Wow what a wild ride. From the first page this grabbed me. Tensions run high from the very beginning, but there's still moments of humour and Leo.
I love the fact that there are no loose threads, everything ties in unexpectedly and excitingly it's a wild ride
I have stumbled across The Last Vampire first book by accident and fell under its spell. Guthrie was that side character that you just couldn’t help to love. I’m so happy with his Vampire Bound series and how it ended. Can’t wait to read about Albigard and see how everything turned out for him.
Fantastic End to the series. Look forward to hearing about the rest of the team and what happens in their lives. Secretly Daisy and her glowing eyes in the shadows... has peaked my interest 😉
Vonnie and Leo's journey for more and more dangerous but the gate of the world is in the balance!Loved it, fast paced and thrilling.Highly recommended!
I feel bad giving a poor review as I am a fan of both the author and the series but.. to wrap up the series in an epic battle needs to take more than 25% of a book. I thought the main characters story arc was a bit of a flatline. I would read a rewrite from the author.
My review is written after listening to the audiobook via BookFunnel having listened to the first three books via Audible but as it's not available on that platform a listeners gotta do what a listeners gotta do to finish a series!This is the final instalment in this wonderful Vampire Bound series, a series I highly recommend. It brings Vonnie and Guthrie's story to a satisfactory conclusion and ties up so many loose ends. The story picks up from where the last book ended on that major cliffhanger. It covers so much ground as Vonnie, Guthrie, Zorah and Rans with the help of Albigard and Edward try to figure out how to defeat the plans of the Fae who have kidnapped the human adept children.In this book Vonnie and Guthries' relationship finally takes the next step, their relationship has been a slow build but I think any listener will be happy to learn what they decide to do about it. Their relationship is not all hot and heavy, it moves slowly with each of them respecting the other's boundaries and it's all the better for that.I don't want to give any spoilers but what I will say is that the climax of the story was definitely exciting and well worth the wait. But can they and their allies succeed and defeat the fae? Will they get all the children back and if they do will they be all right?The narration of this book as with the rest of this series is beautifully done by Gwendolyn Druyor who knows each of these characters so well and brings them to life beautifully.Now having listened to the conclusion of Vonnie and Guthrie's story, having been so engrossed in their world I would normally be wondering what to listen to next but for once I know exactly what comes next for me it's the new series the Forsaken Fae, a spin-off of this series and The Last Vampire series, which is all about Len and Albigard two characters fans of these series will know so well.This review is written voluntarily and contains only my personal opinions.

Wanted it to move faster, then all of a sudden it was over. Good conclusion.
The last instalment in the Vampire Bound series gave us a satisfying conclusion to Vonnie and Guthrie's story while also leaving me SUPER hungry and excited about Forsaken Fae, the new spin-off staring Len and Albigard out in 2021.I don't want to give too much away about what happens in this book, but one of the things I loved about this spin-off is how different the relationship between Vonnie and Guthrie felt to that of Zorah and Rans, the couple at the heart of the Last Vampire series. I think this is the mark of a great writer there: when they create a world that not every story (love story, especially) feels like a recycle of the last one, but where every person has a distinct personality and behaves accordingly. Yeey for couples who cuddle and enjoy each other's company without having **** ALL the time. Yeey for couples who respects each other's boundaries. We need more of that in paranormal romance stories.Anyway, go preorder Forsaken Fae now, I have a feeling this one will be the best series yet!
Vonnie & Leo’s story is a wild ride from start to finish. Edward and the Vamps bring dimension. There is a lot of craziness and violence. Bromance, romance & sexual tension are woven into the conflict seamlessly. If anything, it may make you question reality as you enjoy the world RA Stefan has conjured.
Ok so here I am, Ms I don't read series. So I promise to let you know my thoughts if I did. Well go for it. Winter is here so good fireplace, evening in read. Start with the first series. I am not sure I want to tattle the Fae's story right now but if and when I do I will let you know. Evil does exist in all forms and good folks always there to right their wrongs. I hope to find my own Fae since I hate airports and present packed sardine tins. Happy reading.
Vonnie, Leo, Jace, and the others have to save the world from the Underlie Fae, but it is tough going. The heat builds and finally Bonnie and Leo come to an understanding. Love all the characters an could not put the book away. Defiantly a page turner. I want more of these characters. Well done to the author.
I enjoyed the biplay between main characters. Liked the length of the series. Like where I can see it going.
