VAMPIRE BOUND: BOOK TWO—PART OF A COMPLETED PARANORMAL ROMANCE SERIES (30-DAY AUDIOBOOK RENTAL). NARRATED BY GWENDOLYN DRUYOR.

My son just vanished into thin air… from a commercial jet cruising at 30,000 feet.

The forces that took him aren't of this world.

I've barely recovered from the revelations that my boss is a vampire and magic is real. Now my child has been kidnapped by Fae who want to rule humanity, and I've acquired powers I can't control.

Blowing doors off their hinges and starting fires with the power of my mind won't help me find Jace. For that, I'll have to trust a man—a
vampire—with emotional walls as tall and thick as Fort Knox.

The answers I need won't be found on Earth—but to save my son, I'm ready to brave a realm that drives humans mad. I've been set adrift in a terrifying new world of monsters and magic.
Adrift, but not alone. Somehow, I've gained a misfit family among the living and undead.

Just as well, because at this rate, it looks like I'm going to need them.

Wish the story have evolved a bit more

To short a story to give you a feel for the characters.

The Search Begins

This review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book. This book picks up where book one left off with that major cliffhanger and if you haven't listened to Book One then stop reading this review now!Vonnie's until now latent magic has been triggered by drinking some of Rans' blook so that her body could heal from what Ivan did to her. Now not only has she to learn how to control her magic she also has to try and find her son who disappeared from a plane mid-flight at the end of Book One. As the only person with magic, other than a fae, is Edward, a demon bound ancient he is asked to give her guidance and training. The cost of this is a deal with the demon he is bound to, Nigelous. After a little time spent training Vonnie and Edward come under fire and she is forced to use her magic to try and keep both herself and Edward alive. Her training cut short the time has come for Leonides and her to pay Nigelous' price - they must go to Dine and ask the Fae Court where the children who have been spirited away are? Will the enforced time Vonnie and Leonides are spending together bring them closer? Will they find their answers? Will the magic of Dine send Vonnie Mad and most importantly will they survive their trip and make it back to Earth?Yet again this book ends on a major cliffhanger where nothing is solved, indeed more questions are posed, I for one hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book because I am so invested in Vonnie's story!I just loved the narration of this book, it was so very well done by Gwendolyn Druyor who brought these wonderful characters to life. She has narrated all the books in The Last Vampire Series so I suppose for her it was like revisiting old friends and revisiting places she had been before.

Great story!

I borrowed the first book on a whim and really enjoyed the story. I'm not a big vampire story fan but this was good. I got this second book to see what happens next and wasn't disappointed. I'm anxiously waiting for the third book to see if they finally hook up!

The plot thickens!

The adventure continues with some world-shaking revelations and a most interesting method of controlling and directing magical powers that come with a few unfortunate and embarrassing side effects! This fierce mother takes on the world of the Fae, who are so far from the ethereal elves of Lord of the Rings as it is possible to imagine! Next!

Enthralling!

This series has been captivating; the characters are very relatable (even though it’s about supernaturals), and the excitement never ends. ‘Can’t wait for the next installment.

Captivating Mystery

Couldn't put it down! Wriiten in a simlar style as The Last Vampire and previous book. Only thing that frustrates me is when the book finally climaxs and its actually the cliff hanger. That is how every book in this series has been and I will still read next book to find out the conclusion. This series does not have as much romance as The Last Vampire.

A cliffhanger like only R. A. Steffan knows how to do

I was looking forward to the second instalment of Vampire Bound and devoured it in a couple of hours. It goes by fast; there's magical training, chase sequences, entering the Fae world... we still have no definitive answers yet as per what's happening, but more and more pieces are falling into place. Also, those who loved Albigard from The Last Vampire books will be pleased to see him again here, especially interacting with another favorite character... (no spoilers, but I'm still rooting for an enemies-to-lovers romance). Of course the main romance moves at a slower pace, but it was immensely satisfying to see Vonnie give into her needs and Leonides' cool facade crack a little — if only for a night or so.And now we wait for Vampire Bound 3, out in September!

Not as good as part 1

While having an exciting ending, the novel was not as good as the first of the series. There was too much nothing in the middle.

To short but continues

Bonnie still has not found her son. She and her echoes head to Far world to get answers. The find a list friend of her echoes but archway cost will she have to take to help ave him and leave safely. The book was a page turner. But to short and leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Looking forward to the next book.

Need more sizzle!

I LOVED the Last Vampire series and I'm warming up to this series. I'm enjoying the new angle for the world that was built in those books and I loved the venture into the Fae Realm in this book. After the Last Vampire series that was so HOT...it's a bit disappointing how PG these books are (although there was one great scene...) but because Guthrie is always cranky it was hard to be interested in even that scene. I'm hoping that Guthrie loosens up and be less bitter soon. It's hard to read the books when he is so unlikable. But because I love RA Stefan books and know she writes excellent stories and love stories I'm willing to keep going.

Really like the characters! Waiting for the next book!

The characters are people with problems but they have friends! None of them do stupid stuff (I hate that in books). They just do what they can to help. Of course some of them can help a lot more! Really enjoying the books so far.

It's just not fair!

Now I have to wait for book three! I love how the characters blended with the first characters. I suggest reading the Last Vampire books first. Those books will give you the background to the main character in this series.

A Supernatural World for me.

This is the 2nd part of Leonides' & Vonnie's tale of trying to get her son Jace back after he was kidnapped from a plane in midair. Vonnie is learning that not only does she has magic, but so does her ex-husband as well. Both her and Leonides go to the Fairy kingdom to petition to find out what happened to Jace but really get no answers but end up finding Leonides' friend Algibion who was missing & he told why the kids were being taken.

4.5☆'s

The book lost half a star due to cliffhanger ending. I don't like cliffhangers, if the book is good, I will continue the series. No need to ensure it with keeping a story unfinished; I had already bought the next book. That said, I love this book! The MC is changing/growing, scared but not weak, always fighting forward. You can't help but root for Her! Strong story-lines (the reason it only lost half a star) great characters. Going to check out the Last Vampire series to round out the experience of this world.

A must read book

This book has lots of twists and turns. The plot is full of lovable characters. One wonders what will Vonnie and the boss do now they why Jace was taken. Will Len and Tinkerbell get together as a couple. Will they find Jace and the kids? One can only imagine what book 3 holds.Counting the days for book 3 release 😎😎😎😈
